| Jon Weisberger Content ConsultantJon Weisberger has been a bluegrass musician for more than twenty years and a bluegrass journalist for close to ten. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a B.F.A. in music composition, he has made a bass instructional video, appeared on a half-dozen albums, written a top 10 bluegrass hit and played occasional dates with legendary artists such as Jimmy Martin and Hazel Dickens. Jon's feature articles and reviews have appeared in Bluegrass Unlimited, Bluegrass Now, Country Music, the Nashville Scene, Guitar World Acoustic and other publications. He is a contributing editor to No Depression, and was named the International Bluegrass Music Association's Print Media Person of the Year in 2000. The author of liner notes to more than 40 CDs, he won the IBMA's award for Best Liner Notes in 2001. In addition to serving on several IBMA education committees, Jon is the president of bgrass.inc, a non-profit organization devoted to preserving and promoting the bluegrass music heritage of southwestern Ohio. He is currently researching a book on contemporary bluegrass. |
