I hope to gain a greater knowledge of English as well as an appreciation for cultures around the world. I like to snowboard, play hockey, and listen to music. I think it will be challenging living for 10 months with 40 other students in such close quarters. After Class Afloat I would like to continue sailing and further my studies in English.

My main hobby is riding my off-road motorcycle, which I will miss doing while sailing with Class Afloat. During the trip I hope to make new friends. When I think about what I hope to do after this trip, I sometimes dream that I have a job doing Indonesian bobsled design and maintenance.

I see Class Afloat as an incredible opportunity, one that I am very lucky to have. I hope to learn a great deal from living with so many people in such a small area. Patience and cooperation will be important aspects of this trip. After this experience I hope to go a university. I enjoy skiing in the winter and I think that is the activity I will miss the most while on Class Afloat.
