Yes, I would like to keep on sailing after Class Afloat is over. Since sailing has become a big part of my life over the past months, I feel that I would miss it if all of a sudden I stopped. I have learned so much while onboard Concordia that I have been thinking about coming back on at some point as a deck hand. Also when I get back home in a few weeks, I plan to sail on my small sailboat more regularly. After this great experience aboard Concordia, I know that sailing will be a important to me for the rest of my life.

I am planning on traveling again when I have completed this 300 day journey around the world. I think it will be difficult to adjust to life back in Montreal after traveling for so long. I have definitely caught the ‘traveling bug’ so I am thinking about saving up some money and taking a trip to South America with a couple of my friends from home. If I don’t have the opportunity to visit South America for one reason or another, I’m sure I can find some excitement and adventure closer to home.

Though it is hard celebrating special days away from my family, I find it fun and exciting to celebrate with my new friends. We often plan a fun party to celebrate holidays, this takes away from missing loved ones at home. These parties give us a chance to relax and have a few laughs. Some examples include our “Dating Game” for Valentine's Day and the egg hunt for Easter. We also have parties for birthdays. These celebrations include special decorations and a birthday cake. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am looking forward to celebrating it onboard. It will definitely be a birthday I won’t forget.
