Concordia Activities

Survival suits, or immersion suits, are thick neoprene one-piece suits which a sailor wears if there is a danger that he or she might end up in the water. With boots and three-fingered mitts built-in, the only parts of the wearer's body that are exposed are their eyes. In very cold water, where hypothermia is a danger, the survival suit may keep the sailor alive for up to 24 hours, while he/she waits for help.
