Charlotte Redway, a student aboard Concordia, has just finished writing an entry in her journal. This entry will also appear in Class Afloat News and this web site.

Charlotte copies a text-only version of her journal entry onto a diskette in Concordia's computer lab, and hands the diskette to the ship's mate. The mate takes it to the ship's radio room, loads Charlotte's files onto a computer there which controls a transmitter. From here, the journal entry file will be transmitted to a satellite orbiting 37,500 miles above the earth.
