Class Afloat's Mission Statement

Class Afloat is an education program offering semesters at sea aboard a modern tall ship to students in Grades 11 through junior college. Its mission is to broaden students' understanding of global issues while developing the life and leadership skills needed to address the world's economic, environmental, and technological problems. The concept of "taking the classroom to the world" is intended to encourage self-sufficiency, mutual cooperation, and a clear awareness of other cultures.
