Cameron Douglas
Prince Rupert, British Columbia, CAN
Social Studies/Math/Anthropology Teacher

From the moment I first heard of Class Afloat, I’ve been inspired by its potential for experiential learning, group skills development, global issues awareness and strong teacher-student relationships. Since returning from a year of volunteer work and travel in West Africa (through Canadian Crossroads International), I’ve been keenly interested in cross-cultural education. With our itinerary this year, I can’t imagine a better setting to do this!

Most recently, I’ve been teaching displaced fishermen and shoreworkers in a college retaining program in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. My interests include wilderness travel (my wife Yvonne and I have our own kayak on board!), world music and carpentry.

On board, I will be teaching Social Studies, Math and Anthropology.
