I am going on the Class Afloat program to see the world; to visit places that, to me, are a distant thought; to learn about cultures that might be surprisingly alien; and to grow and become a better person. These reasons are all valid and respectable as any others, but they are also reasons that I have heard from many others. Indeed these reasons have motivated me, but it is a reason of my own design that has spurred me on. You see, it has been a dream of mine to become a pirate.
