Dear Friend of Great American II:
Great American II was becalmed at 2:30 PM today, 50 miles from Ambrose Light
Tower. She is expected to pass the finish line at Ambrose sometime overnight, setting a
new record. There will be a formal welcome for GAII at the Statue of Liberty at 9
AM, Wednesday, May 28.
Guests invited on the tugboat to meet GAII at the Statue of Liberty must be at
Chelsea Piers, Pier 62 at 7:45 AM Wednesday to board for an 8 AM departure.
There will be a reception for GAII and her crew at 10 AM at Chelsea Piers, Pier
62 underneath the tent. The general public is welcome.
