About This Program
In 1853, the great clipper ship Northern Light rounded Cape Horn, setting a speed record of 76 days for the San Francisco to Boston trade route. In 1993, the trimaran Great American II attempted to break this 140-year-old record. Starting January 1, 2003, follow a re-creation of GA II's 1993 voyage around the Horn.
