Sailed north to try to escape light winds. Wind shifted slowly east to southeast to south, gybed to port at 10 p.m., breeze increased slightly through the night, sailed fast with reacher to sunrise. Through afternoon and evening trying hard to sail fast, and to sail low on course to stay to west of Bermuda High. Breeze slowly shifting to south, making that difficult, on midnight watch breeze nearly shifted to directly downwind course, gybed at 2a.m. for cold eddy waypoint, hit timing perfectly as set port gybe course, and then slowly got headed further to bring us toward course. – Rich Wilson
