Medtronic Physio-Control has donated their latest AED "LIFEPAK CR Plus" to Great American II for her voyage from Hong Kong to New York. Thom Goodwin, their New England representative, trained Skipper Wilson on the use of the machine.

Both Rich Wilson and Rich du Moulin are in superb physical and cardio-vascular condition for this voyage (Wilson reached 15 minutes on the treadmill stress test in October!). Yet preparation has always been the key to success at sea, medical preparedness being at the top of the list, and the addition of the LIFEPAK CR Plus clearly is a welcome and important addition to our extensive medical kit.
