| How Much Has Your Town Developed? This is an activity that you can do whether you live in the city, the suburbs or the
country. Go to the local library and tell the librarian that you are interested in the
history of your town. Ask her to show you pictures (drawings and photographs) of
the town from fifty years ago. Look carefully at the pictures and try to see if you can
figure out what part of town you are looking at. Find the same places in your town
today and take pictures of them with your parents’ help. By comparing pictures,
you can see how much development has happened in your town in the past 50
years. You can even make a display of your photographs and donate it to the
library.
