This flag is the international signal for "diver down." When you see this symbol on a boat out on the water, you can be sure that there are divers swimming near the boat.
Research Skills

One of the key research skills necessary on South Caicos Island is the ability to snorkel and SCUBA dive around the coral reefs to make observations. It is used by students to take animal population surveys, observe the diversity of animal species, and to collect samples. Underwater research is followed up by academics back on shore.

It's good to take a break once in a while. Underwater research can be fun, but can also be tiring over a long period of time.

Diving and research are supplemented and guided by traditional academics.
