Bruno Bautil

Bruno Bautil earned his MSc (Marine Ecology) with honors at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Brussels, Belgium. He has spent the last year as a Fisheries Research Officer at the Institute of Marine Affairs in Chaguaramas, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago supervising the Regional fish Age and Growth Laboratory and completing preliminary resources assessment of commercially important fishstocks. He also developed contact with fisheries biologists and managers in the Wider Caribbean Region, Europe and Canada through participation as the official IMA observer at many regional workshops. Bruno has also worked as a Fisheries Consultant for the European Union, Seychelles Fishing Authority in the Republic of the Seychelles. His other experience includes work as an Associated Expert for the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations for the Southwest Indian Ocean Regional Project and as a Medical Officer for the National Instutute for Medical Insurance and Care in Brussels.
