School For Field Studies (Unofficial) Mascot

Claus came to the School for Field Studies in the fall of 1993 and has been the Center mascot ever since. He was found as a stray kitten in Hurricane Claus, hence the name. There are many stray cats on South Caicos Island, but Claus is one of the more pampered members of the feline population. He is usually fed scraps off the table. Claus spends most of his day lying around the site, sleeping, and getting more attention from the students than any cat has ever received in the history of the world.
