I attend DePauw University in the heartland of Greencastle, Indiana, where I am majoring in anthropology and minoring in Earth Sciences. I am really looking forward to my time in the Turks and Caicos Islands as being a true experience that I can "dive into" and combine many of my areas of interest, too.

Learning to live and thrive in harmony with our environment, rather than against it, should be one of everyone’s top goals for the future. By participating in this program, I hope to take a legitimate step towards learning to do that. I am excited about working and playing hard, and meeting great people along the way. You have chosen to share my journey with me and the rest of the group. I hope that you will have as much fun as I will exploring these beautiful places and learning a lot along the way. I have to confess that I am a bit scared of the "biting and stinging marine organisms" that I keep reading about, but maybe we can brave them together! Wish us luck, and I can’t wait to hear all of your questions!
