I’m interested in learning about the Earth’s ecosystems and how people have affected them. The ocean is one ecosystem that I have learned about in the classroom at college. I now want to be able to study the ocean by diving in and looking at it, which field studies programs allows me to do. I’m interested in seeing how people can use the ocean as a resource, while making sure not to negatively affect its diversity and the health of its species. Growing up in Connecticut, I spent a lot of time sailing and fishing on my grandfather’s boat. I also enjoy rollerblading in Central Park and playing with my dog, Tyler.
