I am originally from New Jersey, where I lived for eight years. When I was eight years old, I moved with my parents and older brother to Puebla, Mexico. After three years of living in Mexico, we moved back to the United States to Connecticut. I went to the public school in my town for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade, then decided to go to boarding school. I applied to The Island School partly because my school encourages us to take a semester away, and partly for the opportunity to study marine sciences in a real-life setting. I’m nervous about the rigorous exercise requirements, as my main activities are dance, theater, and horseback riding. I’m very excited about this upcoming semester and am expecting great things.
