Field Trip to Barry Thurling's Farm
pictures courtesy of Cathy Bierly, Intern
Recently we took a day trip to Barry Thurling's Farm to see reforestation on agricultural land. Barry is a local farmer that is reforesting his waterways in an attempt to increase his farms' production. In the afternoon, after visiting Barry's farm, we went swimming and canoeing at a nearby creek!

reforestation plots. He planted this area in order to
have better water quality and less erosion in his
streams. |
