This is a newly planted area at Bromfield Swamp. If these plantings develop they will keep the stream cool, control land erosion, and keep out the weeds.
Mark Eaton from the WTTPS (Wet Tropics Tree Planting Scheme) gives a lecture on reforestation plantings. (above)Mark is also a member of TREAT, a community based land care group on the Atherton Tablelands. Their main purpose is to establish and plant reforestation plots.
