My name is Jeremy Clark and I am from Flemington, New Jersey. I am studying biology and ecology at Pennsylvania State University at State College. I chose ecology because I like so many things, from plants and fungi to mammals and birds and reptiles. That is also why I wanted to come to the Australian rainforest, because it has so many different kinds of my favorite things. A rainforest is one of the few places that I have never been and I cannot wait to see all of the plant and animal species and learn how they live. I am very excited that I will get to see exotic tropical birds right where I am living, and maybe even awaken to the chorus of their calls.

I like to hike and camp all over, and I hope that we will get plenty of chances to explore Australia in this way. I love the idea of hiking along and coming across a cassowary in the forest, or a platypus in a stream. I cannot wait to start learning about all of Australia's fascinating rainforest ecology.
