Festus E. Fasehun Faculty, Program Director I was born and raised in Nigeria. I graduated with honors in Forestry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and earned my MSc.F degree in Forest Soils and Silviculture from the University of New Brunswick, Canada and Ph.D. degree in Forest Biology/Silviculture from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa USA. I did post doctoral research at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. I have visited more than 60% of African countries undertaking consultancy assignments for many international agencies, including UNDP, FAO, Economic Commission for Africa, and the African Academy of Sciences. My main interest is the ecophysiology, regeneration and management of the tropical rainforest. I have had over 25 years teaching and research experience at the University level. I believe SFS provides an opportunity to live and work in the tropical rainforest in a less structured academic setting. While working at the Center for Rainforest Studies, I will be teaching Reforestation and Tropical Rainforest Management. |
