Hey there, my name is Brian Goldberg. I grew up in Madison, CT. I am studying political science at Union College in New York. I'm particularly interested in the laws and policies used by governments to protect species and habitats. I hope to gain a more scientific perspective for studying and analyzing environmental problems. This program in the rainforest will help me to learn field research techniques. I think it will also give me a better understanding of the time and effort required for accurate field data.

The rainforest is essential to the health of every plant and animal on Earth. More education and research of the rainforest will only increase its value as a necessary ecosystem and improve its chances of being protected and conserved.
