Brown University Before this year the environment was simply a hobby to me. It has become clear to me, however, that this is an issue to which I want to devote more than just a passing interest. Attending SFS will give me the opportunity to intensely study environmental science; it will also help me figure out if research suits me. I have already taken the first step in exploring these issues by working for the US Forest Service in West Virginia. Other than nature, my interests include kayaking, squash, and classical guitar. I used to be an avid weight lifter and am a former gymnast.
