Field Director Ken Weagle, M.Sc. Centre Director - I came to Australia in July 1996 after spending several years working at the Cochrane Ecological Institute in Canada. I have worked and lived from coast to coast in Canada and spent 13 years in Yukon Territory Canada where I was known for driving my dog team and working in environmental science. My international experience has been in Indonesia where I was Project Manager for a project that helped the Indonesian government develop a Department of Environment, and in Malaysia where I established an environmental monitoring program for a very flood control and irrigration project. My personal research interests are in water management, and the relationship between rainforest and water quality. As centre director I am responsible for the overal academic program, the running of the centre and the strategic planning of future centre activities and development. |
