Hello, my name is Marisa Bueno. I'm originally from Valencia, California but I decided to try the other coast for college and I'm currently a junior at Amherst College in Massachusetts. You could say that I've tried studying everything and ended up where I started - in biology. I love biology because it gives me the chance to learn about things that surround me everyday. Field biology is especially fun because learning in the field is more of a hands-on-experience. I chose to go to Australia with SFS because I'm interested in learning about global environmental issues, because I love to travel, because I love experiencing what I'm reading in books, and because ever since I was little, I wanted to go to the rainforest to study like scientists on Nova.
